is a seasoned player in the healthcare construction market.  Our first freestanding hospital on a green-field site in Creve Coeur for the “new” St. John’s Mercy Medical Center was completed in the 1960s. During the 1980s, we had the opportunity to complete three new freestanding hospitals--Normandy Osteopathic Hospital, Tenet’s Des Peres Hospital and SSM’s St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, MO.

During the late 80s and early 90s, a surplus of hospital beds in the St. Louis area coupled with changes in the delivery of healthcare services shifted our focus to the renovation and expansion of existing hospitals.  The expansion and renovation of Tenet’s Saint Louis University Hospital, the surgery expansion for St. Anthony’s Medical Center, the renovation and ER addition to SSM’s St. Mary’s Health Center and the renovation and addition to SSM’s Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital are some examples of this type of work.

Today, our healthcare practice is more specialized.  We completed the Center for Advanced Medicine and Siteman Cancer Center for BJC and Washington University, the St. John’s Mercy Cancer Center of Excellence and most recently, the new 174-bed replacement hospital for SSM Heathcare in Fenton Mo.  We also provide design/build heathcare services for critical access hospitals for community and regional heathcare providers throughout the midwest region.
