Hillsdale Structures, a subsidiary of Alberici Constructors Ltd., was launched in 2003 to supply and erect structural steel for the Ontario industrial, commercial and institutiuonal (ICI) markets.  In 2003, Alberici averaged a staff of 100 ironworkers weekly, with peaks up to 350, making the company one of the leading structural steel erectors in Ontario.  Hillsdale Structures was created to expand Alberici's structural steel erection capabilities to a broader range of markets.

Hillsdale Structures will source steel fabrication services from either a pre-approved local fabricator or from St. Louis-based Hillsdale Fabricators, an Alberici-owned company.  Hillsdale Fabricators is capable of producing over 25,000-tons of fabricated structural steel per year in their 250,000-square-foot facility.  The company uses state-of-the-art equipment as well as X-Steel, a 3-D modeling software used to detail steel for fabrication.

Two criteria will be used to determine whether to partner with a pre-approved local fabricator or with Hillsdale Fabricators.  The first is the complexity of the project.  Although we pre-approve our fabricators, when rock-solid reliability, experience and knowledge are critical to the success of a project, we will source fabrication to Hillsdale Fabricators.  The second determinant is economics.  Supply and demand, as well as constant fluctuation in the U.S. dollar compared to the Canadian dollar, will usually present a substantial economic difference.  Hillsdale Structures is committed to deliver the best possible product, the quickest way possible, and for the absolute lowest cost.
