Company plans increased focus on thermal power clients and partners in Midwest and Southeast regions of U.S.

St. Louis, MO (September 21, 2005) – Alberici Constructors Inc. announced today the company has restructured its Energy and Chemicals business unit.

The restructuring provides for an increased focus on meeting the specific needs of thermal power clients and working effectively with engineering and technology partners. Alberici has exited from the petrochemical maintenance sector in the United States, and has ceased the operations currently known as Alberici Mid Atlantic LLC (AMA).

“This reorganization reflects our decision to narrow our focus and to increase our emphasis on the fossil power sector,” said Greg Kozicz, president, Alberici Constructors. “Our reorganization closely parallels the direction our traditional clients and partners are heading and asking us to go. A particular emphasis for us in the power sector will be environmental work including Selective Catalytic Reductions (SCRs), Precipitators and Scrubbers. This is a niche Alberici has strong credentials in,” said Kozicz.

The company also announced that Craig Fesler will be heading up the Energy and Chemicals business unit as Market Leader. Fesler has worked for Alberici for nine years on numerous large power projects as construction manager, project manager and most recently project director. Fesler will be based at Alberici’s new corporate headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri.

“Alberici Constructors is particularly strong in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the U.S. These will be the priority areas in the near term for the power sector. Our energy operations will be headquartered in St. Louis with a regional office in Atlanta, Georgia, and key personnel located in Detroit, Michigan and Nitro, West Virginia,” said Fesler.

In addition to Fesler’s appointment, the company also announced that Bob Rutledge and Bill Doyle have assumed roles as senior advisors in the energy business unit. Bob Rutledge, who retired from Alberici Constructors in 2004, was formerly Industrial senior vice president. In his new capacity, he will focus on work acquisition and service quality for Alberici’s Ameren account.

Bill Doyle, who has spent 30 years in the energy sector, first with Babcock and Wilcox and later as president of a large multi-trade contractor, will provide North American account management service to Alberici’s key clients and partners.
